David Siquieros wrote two pieces in his lifetime, both of which wer manifestos. The first was in the magazine Vida Americana, where he challenged young artists to stretch the limits of art and create a new form to match the revolutionary atmosphere. The second, El Machete he co-authored to encourage workers to rebel!

Throughout his life, David Siqueiros would paint self-portraits, striking images, and, of course, murals that defied not only the government, but size and space itself. In fact, one of his murals is large than the Sistine Chapel.

In his later years, David Siquieros elevated art to a new level, combining muralism and architecture. His most well known pieces include one on the face of a University as well as the Polyforum building.
